'Lord of the Rings' star Sean Astin joins 'Cabin Fever' reboot

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot - entitled Cabin Fever: Patient Zero - will also star Brando Eaton (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel) and Ben Hollingsworth (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules).
The story sees the attendees of a bachelor party cruise in the Caribbean find themselves stranded on a medical research island, where a deadly virus is unleashed.
Comic book artist Kaare Andrews will helm the film from a script written by Jake Wade Wall (2007's The Hitcher). Andrews has worked on comics including Marvel's The Incredible Hulk and Ultimate X-Men.
Original Cabin Fever producer Evan Astrowsky is producing, with a 2013 release date set.
Awful idea! The original wasn't even that great of a movie! This one has straight to DVD written all over it!!
