"I remember that before Jumping the Broom got released, there were some producers were talking about shopping the script to some people and I was one of the people they contacted and was asked if it was something I would be interested in," he said.
"You never know. I definitely want to take in and be the next big action hero. That may be something that's cool."
The news follows reports that Hurt Locker star Anthony Mackie is hoping to land the role of the King of Wakanda. Other actors to have been linked with the project include Wesley Snipes, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Djimon Hounsou.
Black Panther movie rumours have emerged numerous times in the past. Last year, it was reported that documentarian Mark Bailey was on board to produce a script for the film.
Disney has dated a mystery Marvel movie for 2014, which is likely to be either Black Panther, Ant-Man or Guardians of the Galaxy.

If they were to make a Black Panther movie, my pick for the King of Wakanda would be Dayo Okeniyi, who played Thresh in The Hunger Games. He's not too old for the role, has the right physicality, and is from Africa, which certainly helps.
