The 4.3.2.1 actress told MTV News that she would be up for playing the coveted role of college graduate Anastasia Steele because it "sounds awesome".
"Everyone says read Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't really understand. But everyone on the plane was reading it, and I was like, 'I should probably just get it'," she explained.
''I haven't read it, I don't even understand, but yeah, it sounds awesome. Anything racy, hot. Sure, let's get hot.''
Pretty Little Liars stars Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson have both revealed that they want to appear in the Universal and Focus Features-produced film, but Selena Gomez has ruled it out.
"I know I'm taking risks [with new roles], but I don't think I could do that," Gomez said. "That would be a little too much for me."

Agreed! I don't understand how any actor can decide they are interested in taking part in a film role based on a novel without actually reading it!? I think a lot of them are just trying to get in the headlines due to the book and possible film being so successful.
