'Spider-Man', 'Avengers' link revealed?

The Avengers was at one point going to include a reference to The Amazing Spider-Man, according to a report.Worst Previews cites production sources claiming that Sony and Marvel Studios collaborated on a building design for the Joss Whedon-helmed blockbuster.
The report claims that Sony submitted a design for the Oscorp building from Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot for use in the Manhattan skyline depicted in The Avengers.
Marvel was allegedly keen to include the structure in the film, but the timing did not work out and the idea was scrapped.
The news has given rise to speculation that Spider-Man could potentially feature in a future Avengers sequel, despite two different studios owning the screen rights to the properties.
It follows comments from Amazing Spider-Man producer Avi Arad, who claimed that an on-screen crossover between the two series is indeed "possible".

It sounds like bad timing. The Avengers probably would've grabbed a wider audience with Spider-Man as an Avenger but they'd better use their heads and stick him in the sequel.

It's the third most successful movie of all time, I very much doubt they care much for giving another studio a slice when they so don't need it.

Spider-man is a current serving Avenger but I would much rather see longer term Avengers introduced before adding another crossover. For example Scarlet Witch. The House of M plot is a major part of Marvel continuity and would also set up for ties in with X-Men etc.
Failing that I would love to see a multiomovie Civil War Based storyline.

I really hope that both Spiderman and Wolverine will be in Avengers 2, both series are being rebooted and are main members of The Avengers and just imagine Wolverine against Thor, or Hulk, or Iron Man... epic!
