Simon Pegg has discussed the experience of filming the sequel to Star Trek.Speaking to Digital Spy, Pegg opened up about the on-set dynamic of JJ Abrams's follow-up, which wrapped principal photography last month.
"It's relentlessly entertaining," he enthused. "I can't wait for people to see it."
Speaking about new cast additions Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller, Pegg said: "JJ Abrams is very good at casting people that are going to work well together, and we're very much a family.
"We did have a British corner on set. Me, Alice and Benedict would often hang out and talk about the Queen, drink tea..."
Cumberbatch recently spoke about filming the Star Trek follow-up, dubbing the experience "solid extraordinary fun from beginning to end".
Chris Pine has also described the movie's tone as "relentless".
The Star Trek sequel is set for release on May 17, 2013. Watch a trailer for the first film below:

Am I the only one who didn't like the character of Scotty in the films? I found him quite annoying. The rest of them were great though, especially Quinto's Spock.

JJ's Star Trek was a hell of a lot better than most of the 'original' Star Trek films in many ways. Better story, better effects, better direction, better cinematography... Just because it didn't live up to some 'fans' personal expectations it must be rubbish? It's not life or death, it's a couple of hours entertainment.

Only a minority of people slated the previous film, it was a success. Sure it can be picked at like most films, but haters are gonna hate.

I get so fed up of the people who slated the last film. JJ and co made an absolutely fantastic film which preserved everything that came before it. Personally, I would have liked a film set some time after Voyager's return (given that Roddenberry's vision was of the future, I'm really not keen on prequels), but even so, it was absolutely brilliant. Certainly there was a little artistic license but on the whole JJ's film gave Star Trek a much needed boost. Can't wait for this one.
