'The Avengers' rumoured for DVD, Blu-ray release in September

The Avengers will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in September, reports suggest.Blu-ray Forum claims that Joss Whedon's superhero blockbuster will be available in home formats on September 25, while Amazon Germany has it slated for September 13.
Three versions of the film will be available to buy - single-disc DVD, two-disc Blu-ray Combo, and a Special Edition four-disc Blu-Ray, all of which are expected to include numerous bonus features.
Rumoured special features include audio commentaries, deleted scenes, featurettes, Soundgarden's 'Live to Rise' music video, and a gag reel.
The Avengers debuted in theatres at the end of April and went on to break box office records around the world. The film took just 19 days to gross more than $1 billion (£623 million) at the global box office.
Marvel Studios is yet to officially confirm the release date for its DVD and Blu-ray editions.
