Reports emerged earlier that Pattinson had been tapped to play Finnick Odair in the sequel to the highly-successful Hunger Games.
However, Pattinson tells USA Today that all reports are false.
"I woke up this morning and saw all these things about me being cast in The Hunger Games," Pattinson explains, "I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent. My agent was like, 'No'."
The actor also counted out any possibility of him actually becoming attached to the film.
He said: "[My agent] was like, no-one's going to offer you that part. I was like, thanks for the reassurance."
Pattinson's latest movie, the David Cronenberg-directed Cosmopolis, recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
He is currently in talks to star in a movie about '70s rockers The Band, as well as a second project with Cronenberg.

tbh I think Pattinson a good actor but he's just not old enough to play Finnick

Dont rate him as an actor, really hope this is true, I don't think he would do the character justice at all!

Well thank god for that cause' he can't act his way out of a paper bag and I certainly can't see him playing Finnick. Lets try keep the Twilight cast away from The Hunger Games :)
