"I love her origin story. I think it's just such a riveting one," Johansson told The AP.
"It's just steeped in history and the richness to shoot in Russia, perhaps," she explained.
"I hope that the fans' voice is loud enough and they want to see a Widow origin story, I know Marvel would be happy to entertain that. We've spoken a lot about it," she added.
Johansson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday (May 2).
The actress previously said that she wants a Black Widow spinoff in the vein of the Bourne films.

Marvel haven't been too successful with female-led superhero films. Can't think of any only Electra, which got bad reviews.

I could see her story having the same style as the Bourne series. Her character shows that she's tough, but Avengers hinted at her speciality being manipulation. I'm sold on this idea.

I'm all for it.

I'd love to see a Black Widow origin but I feel like it'd need someone big in a support role and have to stretch across quite a long period of time. Like maybe plot the story from her youth, through her becoming a spy, and ending when she's recruited into S.H.I.E.L.D.
That's not meant as a knock on Johansson though.
