'iLL Manors' trailer: Plan B makes directorial debut - video

Plan B's iLL Manors has premiered its first trailer online.Ben Drew makes his directorial debut with the movie, a multi-stranded drama that focuses on the lives of six people in London. The cast includes Riz Ahmed as drug dealer Aaron, Natalie Press as illegal immigrant Katya and Anouska Mond as addict Michelle.
New music from Plan B links together the disparate storylines, with an accompanying soundtrack album due for release on June 25. Drew released a single from the LP in March, which featured a recreation of 2011's London riots in its music video.
Drew told Digital Spy last year that the popularity of his Defamation of Strickland Banks album made iLL Manors harder to produce.
"Halfway through getting the film made, Strickland Banks came out and went 'bang'," he said. "Suddenly I was a popstar making a film as opposed to an artist - and I felt that. There were all kinds of bureaucracy."
The musician admitted that he struggled to get the film financed through the BBC because the script "had c**t written on every other page".
iLL Manors opens in UK cinemas on June 6.
