The newcomer is reworking the screenplay for 20th Century Fox's reboot of the franchise, reports Deadline.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and 30 Days of Night director David Slade was announced as director on the project last year.
The film will be based on Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's classic 'Born Again' storyline.
Slade has promised a "very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock" that will "bear no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way".
The storyline sees Murdock's foe The Kingpin discovering Daredevil's true identity and using his knowledge to ruin the lawyer's life.
Fox recently confirmed that Chronicle helmer Josh Trank is involved in the development of a new Fantastic Four film.

The First Daredevil movie sucked and I did not like Ben Affleck playing Matt Murdock/Daredevil Ben Affleck was awful playing a superhero I just did not like the movie at all, I own hope they get the right cast for this remake to Daredevil.
