Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she won't appear in Iron Man 3, but is still hoping to launch a Jason Bourne-inspired Black Widow movie franchise.
The Avengers star told ScreenRant that she has had discussions with Marvel producer Kevin Feige about a Black Widow spinoff.
"I personally think there's an awesome Black Widow movie [to be made]. A Bourne type of film that would take the comic book genre in a completely different direction," he said.
"It would be awesome. I've spoken to Marvel about it, there's so much story there to draw from."
Discussing her gruelling fitness regime for playing Natasha Romanoff, she added: "Do I want to spend another three months shedding the manatee skin and getting back into that suit? Not necessarily, but it's all worth it in the end."
The Avengers opens in UK cinemas tomorrow (April 26) and May 4 in the US.
