Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver could appear in 'Avengers', 'X-Men'

Marvel Studios has revealed that The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver could appear in multiple franchises.President of production Kevin Feige has said that the characters could potentially feature in both Marvel Studios' Avengers and 20th Century Fox's X-Men films.

The characters have important roles in both franchises, with the film rights owned by the two rival studios.
"It's a little complicated," Feige told Hey U Guys. "If they want to use them in the X-Men movies they could, if we want to use them in the Avengers movie we could."
He described the rights situation of the characters as "unique".
The mutants Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are the children of long-time X-Men villain and anti-hero Magneto, but are also central to the history of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
The Scarlet Witch promises to play a major role in Marvel Comics' current Avengers vs. X-Men event.
Feige said that fans could expect new characters to be introduced in later Avengers movies, following the studio's planned Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Captain America 2 films.

If they ended up being in an Avengers sequel tho, wouldn't that mean they'd have to acknowledge that there are 'Mutants' in the Avengers universe?

I've always felt they are more in line with the Avengers comic universe than the X-men comic universe.

Northstar is a good character, but I doubt they'd introduce Alpha Flight into the films, at least yet - maybe in a Wolverine film? Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch could work well in both franchises - I wonder if they'd have to give them different origins in the Avengers, as they couldn't be the kids of Magneto, or straightforward mutants, I imagine, I think they'd fit better in the X-Men franchise as it is - maybe in X-Men First Class 3?

My fave 2 characters. please say this is going to happen, I really thought they'd be left out of all the movies! awesome story.

I'd rather see a Northstar cameo or film if I'm honest. He is a big character in the comic books xx.
