The Dark Knight Rises has broken IMAX footage records.Christopher Nolan's third Batman film features over an hour of time shot on IMAX cameras, reports MarketWatch.

The previous record holder for length of IMAX footage in a Hollywood blockbuster was the film's predecessor The Dark Knight.
Nolan's second Batman movie featured 40 minutes of the specially shot footage.
IMAX is coming to be a popular choice for Hollywood movies, with many of the summer's blockbusters being converted for IMAX screenings.
These include The Hunger Games, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, Men in Black 3 and Dark Shadows.
The Hunger Games will return to 100 IMAX cinemas in North America for a week due to "overwhelming demand".

Paul Ferrer I reckon time will tell on this one buddy, thing is we gotta take things into consideration I mean I have no doubt in my mind that avengers wont be a massive hit, but both the other movies have there bonuses being Batman (the final Nolan installment) and Prometheus being of Sir Ridleys return to the Sci fi world so in effect both are great contenders but we will see and re post once we know :p, dont get me wrong guys in what I have been saying I am a massive massive batman fan and Marvel but at the same time you gotta keep an open mind about these things, Great chat :)

The scifi fans like yourself may be looking forward for Prometheus but it won't be the break out success that the excellent Avengers Assemble and The Dark Knight Rises will be.

Kevin Crawford totally agree with the prometheus acknowlegement but i speak from the box office income side of things. Regarding batman well I aint sure what comics you have been reading but you kinda do need super powers to be a super hero, batman isnt a super hero he is a anit hero , like riddick for example, but even closer into it batman is the worlds greatest detective and martial artist ... no super powers.

you dont need powers to be a superhero, and prometheus is a sci fi movie so no real points of comparison between them.
