'Brave': The suitors compete in the new Disney Pixar trailer

A new trailer for Disney Pixar's Brave has debuted.The trailer sees three suitors competing for the hand of the free-spirited Princess Merida, voiced by Kelly Macdonald.
The film centres around the Celtic heroine, who causes havoc in the land after she defies convention and refuses to marry.
Billy Connolly and Emma Thompson voice the king and queen alongside a cast that also features Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane.

The film was directed by Mark Andrews, who replaced Brenda Chapman after she departed the project.
Chapman was set to be Pixar's first female director.
Brave is expected to be released in 3D on June 22, 2012 and on August 17, 2012 in the UK.









Excited to see such a globally-recognised collaboration such as Disney/Pixar take on Scottish subject matter, and with what looks to be a largely Scottish cast. I'm sure the movie will be awesome as per usual when it comes to Pixar, however can't imagine it'll do much for perceptions of Scots and the stereotyping of us as kilt-wearing, caber-tossing, traditionalists. Still, looking forward it. :D
