Figurines of the extraterrestrial shapeshifters, who appear across several Marvel Comics titles, appear in a boardgame tie-in for the Joss Whedon blockbuster.
The discovery was made by MTV Geek, who stumbled across the game at Jakks Pacific's 2012 Toy Fair in New York City.
It has been speculated that the Skrulls could be the mysterious objects seen falling from the sky in the Avengers Super Bowl trailer.
However, the film's producer Kevin Feige claimed last month that the Skrulls are not the "alien threat" confirmed to appear.
"It's not Skrulls, I've been clear about that," he said. "Beyond that, we want to hide it. The identity of the alien race is not impactful."
Reports that Captain America's nemesis Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) will be part of The Avengers have also been debunked.
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L Jackson and Tom Hiddleston star in The Avengers, which arrives in theatres on April 27 in the UK and on May 4 in the US.
Watch Tom Hiddleston talk to Digital Spy about The Avengers below:

Alan King I dunno, a bit of grey instead of green, I'd personally put it down to the whole "little green men" thing being too much of a cliche nowadays.
I was thinking though back a bit, there were rumours that the plot was going to base itself off of Avengers vol1 #1.
If that's the case then they might not be "aliens2 per se, they might just be Rock Trolls from Asgard.

They're the Chitarri from the Ultimates. Re-read the first Ultimates arc and the designs are very very similar. The Avengers is going for a very Ultimates feel looking at the trailers. Which is in no way a bad thing at all.

We see aliens, but we don't know who they are.
They don't look like the comic book Skrulls or the Skrull figure that comes with that board game.

They Are IN The Trailer! Of course they're in the movie.
What is there to speculate?
