How the hell was 'The Artist' a contender for a Bafta for 'Sound'?

so much love for the artist nice to have something different. Cant wait to rent - Shame, The Artist, Moneyball, The Descendents, The Help, Midnight In Paris, The Ides of March. Yup my local cinema (Vue) showed no love or appreciation for any of them but they did show love to New Years Eve and The Vow. smh!
