Christopher Nolan has reportedly been asked to edit the sound mix of Tom Hardy's voice in the upcoming Dark Knight Rises. In the highly-anticipated Batman picture, Hardy's character Bane wears a mask, which some have complained makes his heavily-accented speech too muffled.

Following screenings of the film's six-minute prologue and the release of the full-length trailer, several fans and critics have commented on the sound quality of Bane's voice, and have remarked that it is difficult to understand his dialogue clearly.
Sources close to production have said that Warner Bros is aware of the sound issue, with one insider saying that the studio is "scared to death" about "the Bane problem".
Nolan has responded to requests to change the sound mix by saying that he will only tweak it slightly rather than completely change it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
An executive said: "Chris wants the audience to catch up and participate rather than push everything at them. He doesn't dumb things down. You've got to pedal faster to keep up."
Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman will reprise their roles in The Dark Knight Rises, while Tom Hardy (Bane), Anne Hathaway (Catwoman), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (John Blake) and Marion Cotillard (Miranda Tate) will take on new roles.
The Dark Knight Rises opens in cinemas on July 20, 2012.

Normally I'd agree, but then the options would be limited to a bad actor who happens to be massive, or the dreaded CGI character.
Personally, I think Bane looks pretty badass

Artistic integrity must be kept. Keep doing what you do, Mister Nolan!

The Prologue voice was basically unaudible, expecially with the accent masking the already muffled dialogue. pretty much a shame since bane has some awesome lines from the Screenplay I read.

I watched the prologue for TDKR and could only understand a few words he was saying because of the backround noise. It's definitley an issue you can't tell from the trailer alone. It made me miss out on the whole point of the prologue just trying to focus on what he was talking about. That being said I watched a pirated copy of it rather than pay out to watch a pile of crap just to see it in the first place.
