The first official picture of Leonardo DiCaprio in J. Edgar has been released.DiCaprio stars as the controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover in Clint Eastwood's forthcoming biopic. The film follows Hoover from his childhood in Washington DC all the way to his death in 1972, with the actor using prosthetic make-up to portray the titular character throughout the film.
In the newly-unveiled picture, DiCaprio appears to be seated in a courtroom, pleading his case.

Eastwood spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the challenges of shooting a biopic based on Hoover: "He was a very private person, so nobody knew too much about him," he explained.
DiCaprio added: "I think that he was always an outsider. I think that's what this story is about, how he sort of lost touch towards the end of his life, to say the least."
In addition to DiCaprio, the film also stars Armie Hammer, Jeffrey Donovan, Ed Westwick, Judi Dench, Naomi Watts and Josh Lucas.
J. Edgar opens in cinemas on November 9 in the US and January 20 in the UK.

Is he a vegetarian? Or a vegan? I was going to suggest him to be one as he could use his name to less the suffer in the world. It is really important, even from his main career. He likes that, so sweet. Peace!

I hate Daniel Day Lewis movies. Overrated tripe IMO.

I like Leo, he was brilliant in The Aviator which I still think is his greatest role to date. But PSH is on another level. He is in the Daniel Day Lewis level.

Was Jason Statham a joke? I agree about Di Caprio btw, he might actually be the best actor around today. Did you see him as a mentally handicapped kid in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? Awesome.
