'Downfall' director to helm 'Dark Side'

Downfall director Oliver Hirschbiegel has reportedly signed to helm forthcoming thriller The Dark Side of the Moon.

According to Variety, the film is based on a bestselling novel by Swiss author Martin Suter.

The story follows a successful lawyer who has a life-altering experience after eating hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Production is scheduled to begin in the spring in Switzerland, Germany and France.
