Wyatt revives the beloved science fiction franchise with Andy Serkis taking centre stage in a performance-capture turn as Caesar, an ape who leads an uprising against humans in San Francisco. James Franco, Freida Pinto, Tom Felton, Brian Cox and John Lithgow are also among the stellar cast for the prequel.
Digital Spy sat down with Wyatt to discuss the challenges of helming a big summer movie, a potential Oscar nomination for Serkis and what Tom Felton thought about delivering an iconic Apes line once uttered by Charlton Heston.

Loved this film - made me feel really uneasy, like the original TV show made me feel as a kid. You get a huge sense of the apes holding back their potential violence. Scary!
