London 2012 Olympics special: 20 sports stars turned actors

With London 2012 in full swing and Team GB finally getting on the gold medal podium, now seems like as good a time as any to take a look at athletes who've left behind the world of professional sport to make a bid for Hollywood stardom.

It's fair to say that results have been mixed - for every success story like Arnold Schwarzenegger there's a sports star that never quite took off on the silver screen. Some - like Lance Armstrong, Mike Tyson and John McEnroe - have even appeared as themselves to be the butt of a joke in recent comedy flicks.
