Martin Scorsese's boxing opus Raging Bull is mystifyingly getting a sequel, more than 30 years since the breathtaking original cemented itself as an instant classic.

In Hollywood, having a recognisable brand name and box office success means that no movie is safe from an unnecessary sequel. For every top sequel like The Dark Knight and Godfather: Part II, there are a tremendous amount of turkeys on hand to sully the name of great movies.

Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly had no involvement in this terrible follow-up, which picked up the mind-melting storyline with Donnie's younger sister Samantha (Daveigh Chase) experiencing terrifying visions.
