Chris Moyles embraces Radio 1 Breakfast Show successor Nick Grimshaw - picture

Nick Grimshaw visited The Chris Moyles Show today (July 11) to talk about yesterday's announcement of Moyles's departure.Moyles revealed that he would leave the Radio 1 Breakfast Show and it was confirmed soon after that he would be replaced by Grimshaw.

"So are you proud of yourself?" quipped Moyles on today's show. "Do you not care about us?
"Strolling in here... let me tell you something young man! Signal Radio, I had to live in Stoke-on-Trent for my craft. Chiltern Radio... Milton Keynes! I lived in Milton Keynes for this dream job.
"You stroll in here, you've never worked at another radio station before and you think that you can take my dreams away from me!"
On whether he ever imagined getting the job, Grimshaw said: "I never did, not in a million years. It's so exciting. It only feels real today, because yesterday was very surreal."

Well done Digital Spy - it's about time a story on Chris Moyles used an up to date photo of him! He's lost so much weight and worked so hard to get fit, yet in nearly every story on his departure, they've used these horrible photos of him from years ago. Good on Chris for getting fit.

I used to listed to Chris everyday. It's been about a year since I have tuned into any Radio 1 show. I wish him all te luck in the world now if the music programmer would do the same thing and they start playing good music again even better.

What's with all these fat TV/Showbiz people going thin, they never look right. A bit of weight suited Chris, now he just looks ill.
