Christian O'Connell, Hamish & Andy to combine for joint radio show

Absolute Radio's breakfast DJ Christian O'Connell and Australian drivetime radio stars Hamish & Andy are to combine later this month in a joint show between their stations.

On May 18, a mix of British and Australian news, sport and feature interviews will be broadcast across both Absolute Radio and Australia's Fox FM - as UK listeners wake up, and Australian listeners make their way home.

To mark the broadcast, listeners in Britain will be offered the chance to win a holiday Down Under, and Australian listeners vice versa.

"Whether you're a fan of Christian in the UK or Hamish & Andy in Australia, it'll be a treat to hear the best radio talent from either side of the world join forces." said Tony Moorey, Absolute Radio's content director.

The Christian O'Connell / Hamish & Andy show will air on May 18, from 7am-10am in the UK and 4pm-7pm AEST/ACST in Australia.

Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, who present a daily drivetime show in Australia, previously teamed up with Absolute Radio in 2010 to present a series of programmes while they travelled around the UK.
