2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil has been officially announced by EA Sports.

The game will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 from April 17 in Europe and April 15 in North America.

The standalone release features 203 nations, 7,469 players, 19 officially licensed managers, 21 stadiums, and more than 15 hours of new in-game commentary.

It features a 'Road to the FIFA World Cup' mode, 'Captain your Country' mode and a scenario mode featuring 60 objectives.

It will also add 100 new animations, new ball physics and set-piece tactics.

Exclusive to PS3 and Xbox 360, next-gen versions will receive World Cup-themed content in 'FIFA Ultimate Team'.

Original Story: A 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil game has been teased by EA Sports.

In a post on Twitter, the EA Sports team tweeted a Brazil World Cup image alongside the caption: "The World Cup... #itsinyourhands."

Listed for Xbox 360 and PS3 only, it appears as though the World Cup game will bypass next-gen consoles.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa launched as a standalone title during the previous World Cup, although the official game of UEFA Euro 2012 was released as a digital expansion to FIFA 12.

Last year's FIFA 14 has racked up nine weeks as the all-format number one, having also topped the chart at Christmas.

It is available for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Xbox One, PS4, PSP, Vita, PS2, Wii, 3DS, iOS and Android.
