'Rambo: The Video Game' officially named, playable at Gamescom

will be playable for the first time at next month's Gamescom Expo.
While few other details have been confirmed, Rambo: The Video Game
will reportedly feature a "gritty atmosphere" and "full-on" action, with players able to wield Rambo's iconic weapon-set.Announced last year

is in development for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Publisher Reef Entertainment
acquired the rights to the action film series from StudioCanal, but has remained tight-lipped about the title until now.
"We have been quiet since we acquired the Rambo
license last August," the company's commercial director Craig Lewis said.
"During this time we have been dedicated to creating a video game for consoles and PC that will allow Rambo
fans and gamers across the globe to really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon set in battle."
The first three films in the Rambo
franchise have grossed over $600 million (£367m) in revenue to date. They were followed by a fourth film

will also lend his likeness to the upcoming Expendables 2
Though no exact release date for the Expendables 2
game has been given, the title is planned for this summer to coincide with the action movie, which features returning cast members Stallone, Jason Statham, Li and Bruce Willis along with franchise newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Chuck Norris.The Expendables 2
