Battlefield 3 is receiving a new 'Matches' feature, DICE has announced.
The new feature will help players who rent a dedicated server to coordinate multiplayer games with friends and squad members.
A user who rents a dedicated server will be given the option to set up a match through the Battlefield 3 Battlelog, designating the Match's name, start time, game mode, team sizes and which map it will play on.
Matches will offer a number of customization options, allowing users to alter starting health, bullet damage, respawn times, and toggle on or off elements such as friendly fire, kill cams, the mini-map and individual weapon unlocks.
Prior to each Match there will be a warmup stage, where users can practice without any kills counting until all players have joined the Match.
Players will be able to set up Matches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC through the Battlelog.
Battlefield Premium also launched recently, drawing over 800,000 subscriptions and granting subscribers early access to new DLC for an annual fee.
DICE has promised to announce a release date for the Matches feature soon.
