Nintendo has revealed the Wii U Pro Controller for its next home console. The Pro Controller lacks the screen of the primary Wii U control pad, and features a more traditional design resembling an Xbox 360 controller.

One unique difference between the Pro Controller and an Xbox 360 pad is the right analogue stick placement, which is in a more prominent location higher on the controller, while the face buttons are lower.
Though a break from traditional controller design, the layout makes the Pro Controller consistent with the full Wii U control pad.
Nintendo also confirmed the updated Wii U controller, which was leaked last month.
The updated Wii U control pad features analogue sticks instead of circle pads, revised button placement and a wider screen, according to NeoGAF.
It also has a near-field communication (NFC) reader, where objects or cards can be scanned to load data into games, similar to the functionality in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures.

The Wii U control pad will also feature a TV control button, turning the controller's screen into a universal television remote when the console is not powered on.
Both the Wii U control pad and Wii U Pro Controller can be used on the same console together at the same time.
Nintendo unveiled its new controller designs during its pre-E3 Wii U presentation.
Nintendo's E3 2012 press conference takes place on Tuesday, June 5 at 5pm BST (11pm EDT).

Not a bad design, but since PS3 is usually Black and XBox360 White - Wii could've gone for a silver or platinum colour scheme.

Hahaha, this is hilarious!

So many people criticising Nintendo when If it wasn't for half of the innovations they have given the gaming world would we have controllers like they are now??
I for one am loving the look of wii u, and the concept. Nintendo may be late to the party with hd graphics but since when did they make a great game? I've owned consoles since the early Ataris and NES came along and I still play those games now not because of graphics but gameplay. Being on Nintendo E3 conference I say!

looks to me like a remake of the 360 controller microsoft should sue for patents

I am sure nintendo was smart enough to check for patents and look up onlive controller and ask yourself why microsoft never sued them?

As people have said, Nintendo created the analogue stick, vibration feedback, shoulder buttons and directional pad years before Sony and Microsoft jumped on the gaming bandwagon anyway...
