The leaderboards will be reset four hours after the update goes live, a move deemed necessary to combat corrupt data and scores posted at the game's launch.
RedLynx apologised to fans on its official forum, warning players to avoid multiplayer matches until six hours after the release of the update.
"Because this Multiplayer Leaderboard Reset will take place after the Title Update, we advise you not to play multiplayer matches for at least four to six hours after you receive the Update, in order to avoid having your data purged by the reset or accidentally matching up with a non-updated player," reads the post.
Trials Evolution was released in April as part of Microsoft's Arcade Next promotion. It can be downloaded for 1200 MS Points (£10.80/$15).
