'Diablo III' to sell 3.5m units in 2012, says analyst

will sell 3.5 million units in 2012, according to an industry analyst.
Sterne Agee's Arvind Bhatia also backed the Blizzard Entertainment
title to eventually surpass 4 million in lifetime sales.
"We think Diablo III
, which is releasing after a gap of 12 years since the launch of Diablo II
, has the potential to sell more than 4 million units lifetime," he told GI.biz
"We note that Diablo II
had sold 4m units by August 2001 or 14 months following its initial release in June 2010."
Blizzard this week confirmed that Diablo III will have a global play feature for multiplayer
, with servers split into three regions for the Americas, Europe and Asia.Diablo III
will be released for PC on May 15.
