The studio posted a job listing for a multiplayer gameplay programmer who will be working on an Alien game for both current and next generation consoles.
"The successful applicant will be working on a AAA multi-platform title on current and future generation consoles set in the Alien universe," the description reads.
The description does not specify which "future generation consoles" are being planned, though it requests experience developing on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The game was first revealed last year by publisher SEGA. It will be a third-person action title, with a multiplayer component now confirmed by the job listing.
Creative Assembly is a studio best known for its strategy games in the Total War series, most recently Total War: Shogun 2 on PC.
SEGA is also publishing Aliens: Colonial Marines, a first-person shooter scheduled to release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this autumn. A Wii U version is also in development.

What with Colonial Marines and now this news - can't wait! Just need a Prometheus game where you inspect urns with xeno-snakes.

Dwayne Wright what i meant is that sooner or later it'll be like playing a movie as the animations will be too realistic for its own good, each and every person has there own way of gaming, some like single player, some like multiplayer, and some like both. equally some think better graphics to games will worsen them whilst others thinks it'd improve them, im not wrong in what i said originally, and neither are you now. because each and everyone of us sees a game differently. and in sandbox games for example how many of us in gta vice city used the cheat cars float on water to see how far the map went? like i said differences is what makes a game amazing.

no it won't! When will you people realise that adding more textures polygons lightning effects etc is actually hindering the industry as a whole, and its the actual DESIGN behind the game that counts most. Nobody's saying gradual graphics improvements aren't important, but it's the actual design that contributes more, whether aesthetics, gameplay system, mechanics, creativity, convincing game universe. So no it WONT make it 'hella scary'
