Undisclosed sources told The Verge that Microsoft will release an Xbox 360 bundle for $99 with a two-year contract including a $15 monthly fee.
The bundle will include an Xbox 360 console with 4GB hard drive, a Kinect sensor and an Xbox Live Gold subscription for the duration of the two-year contract. It was also suggested that the system could include access to paid entertainment services such as streaming cable and sports package providers.
An early termination fee would apply to those who wish to end the contract before the two-year deal expired.
Bought separately, a 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect bundle with a two-year Xbox Live Gold subscription would cost $420 up front, less than the cost of the rumoured bundle totalling $459 over the course of two years.
However, a subscription-based console at a low introductory price of $99 could prove to be a popular option, especially if it included a subscription to paid entertainment apps such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO Go, ESPN and Comcast Xfinity.
Microsoft is also reportedly planning to launch its own Spotify rival music service, 'Woodstock', which is said will be officially announced at E3 2012 in June.
The Verge reports that Microsoft could be ready to launch the new Xbox 360 bundle as early as next week. However, with E3 only a month away and Microsoft saying it will not reveal the next Xbox at the event, an announcement could be held for the show.

Microsoft is targeting a group of people who will see $99 for Xbox 360, Kinect, Xbox Gold and $15/month for two years. To someone who won't do the math or is just too lazy this will look like a steal. Trust me I know a lot of them. Don't get me wrong the Xbox 360 was the first seventh-gen console I purchased and I love it but Microsoft is really starting to tick me off.
Just bought a PS3 on sale this month and right now I love it more than the Xbox due to the fact I can save $60/year. I purchased a $50 year plan to PSN Plus and Sony is blowing Microsoft out of the water in terms of value for money on this.
After this year I am very well considering axing the Xbox Gold subscription and sticking with PSN Plus. I should have most of the online achievements I need by the end of the year for my current Xbox games.

I just don't get it (15*24)+99 = $459 = £284.
I bought an xbox yesterday for £160. Why would I pay double?

why would it be void, the subscription for xbox gold would go over to the next console, and if E3 is a month away and they announce it at next years E3 then it would be 50% into the deal.

Oh ok Microsoft i'll buy a 360 on a 2 Year Contract. I wont mind that you will release another Home Console before 25% of the Contract is complete, which will render the 360 void...
Do Microsoft think we were born Yesterday... Actually thinking of xbox-fanboys they would be correct -.-
