The app is split into Battlefeed, which displays information such as friends' awards and unlocks; Com centre, which shows who's online and which server they're playing on; as well as news and leaderboards.
Battlelog is the game's second app, following on from spinoff Battlefield 3: Aftershock, which was pulled because of quality issues.
Battlefield 3: Aftershock was a cross promotion between Battlefield 3 and movie Act of Valor, with the game's single level inspired by the film.
Battlefield 3 broke EA's records by shipping 10 million copies worldwide when it released last October on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
