'Need for Speed' movie rumoured

Need for Speed is reportedly in line for a movie adaptation.Electronic Arts is pitching the idea of a film based on the racing franchise around Hollywood, according to the Chicago Tribune.

John Gatins (writer on Real Steel) is said to be in talks with the publisher about developing the project for the big screen, based on a pitch by George Gatins (executive producer on She's Out of My League). Warner Bros, Sony and Paramount have been linked with the film, with the latter leading the chase.
Transformers helmer Michael Bay previously directed a trailer for the latest entry in the racing series, Need for Speed: The Run. It is yet to be confirmed whether he will be involved in the movie.
Need for Speed: The Run was released for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS and PC in November 2011 in North America and Europe.
EA is yet to officially confirm that the franchise will be adapted for cinema.

oh god EA wants to make a fast and furious like movie........ uuuuhhh like ALL game to movie productions we all know this will FAIL.
just like the mass effect movie which has now been canned due to EA not wanting to pay the big bucks to make big bucks, they want to make the movie like they make there games, low budget and oviously they will cut out the ending so you can pay to see it in the ciniemas later on in the year.
