A forum post on the BioWare message boards, polling users on the ending, has attracted more than 16,000 votes and 103,000 views. 87% voted in favour of altering the story.
Mass Effect 3 shipped 3.5 million copies worldwide last week, making it the biggest entertainment launch of the year, according to publisher Electronic Arts.
Pre-orders for the title were said to be "well ahead of its predecessor". However, it is thought that overall sales might have been higher had struggling retailer GAME stocked the title.
Mass Effect 3 is available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Darren Richard Johnson A false statement made by a producer/developer is still considered false advertisement as they are out there doing interviews to promote their product.

Joel Connelly As I have said before being a consumer gives you the right to complain but not to demand. A developer should not have to change something because a small minority of who bought the game are demanding change. How many movies are pitched as being something they really ain't? You don't see a petition everytime a crap movies comes out. As for comments by producers thats what they are they are comments not promise and to be fair some of what has been said has been blown out of context and too much read into it in some cases. You can try to argue with me but my opinions won't change so lets not go round in circles eh

Darren Richard Johnson A video game is a consumer product just like anything else, we paid for something based on the comments made by its producers. All I want is for them to fulfil their pre-release promises from 2 months ago and if that means wanting them to change the ending because it wasn't what they promised then so be it.

Darren Richard Johnson that was an example. its still a product i paid for and was promised one thing and got another. this ending ruined what the entire series was about

Matthew TheTruth Brenner its not a car its a game and if people are not happy they have a right to complain but not demand. What ever way you dress it up your still asking them to change something you don't like lol. I am done here as I can see this becoming yet another conversation that goes round in circles.
