I loved it. Ricky's acting and writing was as good as ever. His ability to mix controversial subjects with comedy and humour without being distasteful or mocking is genius.

I am baffled though not surprised by how many people don't understand his intentions, despite the fact he personally posts them all over the internet.

I am always impressed by the way he can bring comedy to the emotional and poignant moments, gently, respectfully and without leaving you feeling uncomfortable for laughing. I've always been a big Gervais fan, but I was genuinely blown away by Derek. He clearly cares for the characters and I think that integrity and respect is really evident. I believe Derek hasn't got a learning disability, I think it's pretty crappy that so many people automatically assume he has because of his attire, a bad underbite, hunched back and his gentle, simple and 'different' way of looking at the world (i.e. the bit where he gives both ends of the worm a drink).

Anyway, that's enough Gerpraise for now.
