Craig Randall Superman I believe. Batman first appeared in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), Superman first appeared in Action Comics #1 (June 1938).
The suit as far as I know is based on Kryptonian uniforms, Superman's home planet. In some Superman media, he was given the suit by his adoptive parents, in others the suit is part of Kryptons heritage (i.e. the 1978 movie). August 5th 2011 at 2:28pm
