The outgoing Detective Comics writer and artist's immediate future was uncertain following the conclusion of his run on the publisher's namesake title.
Bleeding Cool reports that the creator agreed to extend his stay during Comic-Con International, but the titles that he will be working on are yet to be disclosed.
Daniel's next project will be a two-issue stint as artist on Justice League alongside writer Geoff Johns. The pair will reintroduce the Cheetah to the DC Universe in issues #13 and #14.
Chew scribe John Layman has been confirmed as the creator's successor on Detective Comics, with his run scheduled to commence in October with issue #13.
Daniel's final contribution to the Batman-starring title will come with September's issue #0, on which he provided artwork.
