Guardians of the Galaxy hit 'Avengers' cartoon

The Guardians of the Galaxy are to be guest stars in an episode of Marvel Entertainment's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.The team will appear in the Hulk-starring episode of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Marvel revealed alongside a teaser of the green goliath's appearance in Ultimate Spider-Man.
"Can't get enough of the Hulk?! This Sunday on Ultimate Spider-Man, catch more HULK SMASH action as he teams up with Spidey to take down an invisible villain who's destroying Manhattan," said Marvel.
"In this behind-the-scenes interview, the big voice behind the big guy, Fred Tatasciore, gives an inside look into the mind of this week's breakout Avenger.
"Don't miss Fred as The Hulk in Ultimate Spider-Man and in a new The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (featuring The Guardians of the Galaxy), this Sunday inside Marvel Universe at 11a/10c, only on Disney XD."
Guardians of the Galaxy is rumoured to be in development as a Marvel Studios movie.
The Guardians have also been promised a return to comics in 2012.

Hmm, If I was planning on using, I dunno, say the Guardians of the Galaxy in the next Avengers movie but was concerned there wasn't quite enough mainstream public awareness for the characters; when would I have them appear in the cartoons?
Oh yeah, right when the first film is top of the box offices globally. That'd be a perfect time.
