The ongoing series has ended over "creative differences", reports Bleeding Cool.
"Unfortunately creative differences have sunk the Infinite. It's over," wrote Liefeld on Twitter. "Because of my desire that my work looking the way I intended... it's over.
"Artistically, I'll continue to seek out talented collaborators to work with that keeps me energized for the next 25 years. For 10 years all my printed work was printed from my pencils. Now I'm re-discovering the appeal of working with a variety of inkers."
Liefeld has previously tweeted about a decision to re-ink some of his pages for Image Comics' Skybound imprint title.
The veteran artist was collaborating with The Walking Dead creator Kirkman on the project, which centred on a soldier who travels back in time to team up with his younger self.
Only four issues of The Infinite have been released to date.

Looks like I found out about the cancellation of The Infinite three months late. I can't believe I wasted almost $30 for the Deluxe editions of all 4 issues. Now my collection is incomplete because of what seems to be some petty BS from Kirkman. As I posted in another website, it reminds me of a conversation between Kevin Smith and Joe Casey on a podcast, regarding Image Comics. In essence they were compared to slaves freeing themselves from the slavers (DC and Marvel), only to BECOME that which enslaved them. This seems to have happened to Mr. Kirkman himself. It's a shame really. Say it ain't so Robert. Say it ain't so.

Isn't he getting Deathstroke cancelled next?

Oh dear, whatever will either of them do? Oh wait, Kirkman writes plenty of other titles, and DC are shoving Liefeld onto whatever looks like it's going to be cancelled next. I'm sure they'll both get over it.
