DC Comics war titles to return

DC Comics has announced that some of its best known war titles are to return in a new series of one-shots.

Weird War Tales, Our Fighting Forces, Star-Spangled War Stories, G.I. Combat and Our Army At War will all be revived later this year.

The work of acclaimed creators including Ivan Brandon, Darwyn Cooke, B. Clay Moore, Chad Hardin, William Tucci, Justiniano, Matt Sturges and Phil Winslade will feature in the books.

Covers for the one-shots are illustrated by Cooke, Mark Schultz, Geof Darrow, Joe Kubert and Brian Bolland.

DC's line of war-themed comics will debut in September.
