Amitabh Bachchan confirmed as host of new 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'

has been confirmed as the host of the new series of Kaun Banega Crorepati
The Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
will be back in a prime time slot, IANS
"It will be a primetime show. I can't tell you the exact slot because we are in discussion, we are brainstorming the right time. But certainly it will be a primetime slot," said Sony Entertainment Television (SET) senior vice president and marketing head Danish Khan.
"We have not decided the days but the talks are on. We will soon make an official announcement," he added.
Khan said they could not think of anyone who could fit the role of the show's host quite like the Bol Bachchan
"There is absolutely nobody like Mr Bachchan. His appeal transcends across all the age groups. He can relate and connect with people of all backgrounds. His command over the language - Hindi, English and many other local languages - his humility and sincerity; these are the factors that drives his popularity.
"And that brings immense popularity to our show. People are eager to watch him again on KBC
. I can't think of anybody else." Shah Rukh Khan briefly took over the role of show host for the third series
after Bachchan suffered ill health, however the 69-year-old actor resumed the role for the fourth series.KBC
2012 is scheduled for broadcast in August/September this year.
